Why do we need them I would love to sweep the canvas clean as it is not working or do you think it is?

Completely clean.
Let someone with experience and more than one back up plan to do this.
If a man and a Republican CANNOT do the job, it's time to let a woman and a Democrat to fix this country right.

There's a lot of big change in DC. A billion here, a million there. It's all peanuts.
As much as I understand your feelings, I feel that in the long run some benefit to the country emerges. If only to continue the "change". Good idealism though.

If it were John Kerry , who failed to make it , what would be different ? Would it be different ?
Bush for 2 terms has caused tremendous suffering to people in many parts of the world . This includes death of US and non US citizens. The Republicans certainly do not seem to care ..do they?.
So, yes , it is time for a big change in DC Washington.

It's going to be another year-and-a-half until the next congressional elections. How do you propose to sweep away anyone currently in Congress before Nov. 2008?

I thought big change was going to happen when the newly elected Democrats took office. I guess voting for change just for the sake of change is not always good.
