Implantation can happen anywhere from 6-12 days past ovulation but about 8 days is average. If implantation takes longer than 10 days then there is evidence to support that the risk of miscarriages increases.
As for implantation bleeding/spotting, it is rare, only about 1/3 of all pregnant women have any implantation spotting.

The average time for implantation is 7-10 days after ovulation. No, spotting does not always occur during implantation. I have been pregnant 4 times (2 miscarriages) and never had implantation spotting.

Hello, yes, some women may experience slight cramps when Implantation occurs, some women also experience implantation bleeding which looks like red spots on the tissue and your discharge my be pink tinted, or depending on your body it may be bright red blood or dark red, this normally lasts up from a few hours up to 3 days, it is not like you menstrual period as you can easyly just wear a panty liner for this form of bleeding. In some cases some women dont experience either of this and dont have any signs of early pregnancy. If your period is due id recommend a pregnancy test that tells you upto 6 days before your period is due as these are highly sensitive. Good luck.
