I like books about world disasters, sience fiction type. Stephen King type like " The Stand". Any ideas?

How bout 'grapes of wrath',,,ever read that? That book is about the terrible consequences that faced this nation because of the great dust bowl.
'I'v lived a 1000 years' is a good book,,,tells the story of the holocaust which is the most major disaster of all time!!

I was going to suggest Heart Shaped Box by Joe Hill who is King's son, but someone beat me to it. You might also like some of Michael Crichton's books.

I LOVE Stephen King's writeings: he's my favorite author! Well...hm, "DreamCatcher" by him is an excellent book. My second favorite, actually.

The Heart Shaped Box by Joe Hill.....it is awesome....check out his web site...www.joehill .com......someone told me he is Stephne King's son.....great horror story, about an aging rock star....I loved it.
