What's the best way to start work as a bartender with No exp.?

I'd like to work nights at a music hall with a bar, or atleast a bar with live shows as but I have no exp. in the bartending or food service industry, I've worked construction for 5 years. How do I start?

is bartending school neccessary, do they look at that?

I DON'T KNOW IF THEY HAVE A ' BARTENDER' SCHOOL PER SAY, BUT WHY NOT GO TO THE PLACE YOU FREQUENT, AND TALK TO THE OWNER OR MANAGER? GOOD LUCK AND ALL SUCCESS IN LIFE.
