I've often wondered about this . Surely there are clear-cut psychos on this site and that would concern me if one of them recognized you in public .
On the other hand, I would love to meet most of the users . But I'd never post a real portrait . Much too risky in my mind .

What about you ?

I've met a "real life user." Bad apples come in every bunch.

Don't do it if it concerns you, but don't give the psychos any ideas, either.

Don't live in fear! When your number is up, it's up!

What are they going to do with my picture? Something lurid in the privacy of their homes? Maybe use it as roach bait? That's on them!

If I worried about stuff like this, I wouldn't be able to do my job! But also know that because of what I do, I have very good access to law enforcement, including friends in the FBI.

Oh, and I've had a minimum of 5 clones, too. So what? It ticks me off that there are some losers with no class, but if they're picking on me, they're leaving someone else alone.

I do not post a real picture because someone might see it before a meal and get sick.

I am tempted to be more "friendly" with a couple of posters here, but I don't even send or receive private emails. I keep it on the board where we can all join in.

Nothing personal. I Just think I should spend less time in front of the keyboard. But my job pretty much requires me to be here.

All the best!

PS I just emailed someone in the office next to me! Yes, there were attachments - but I think the internet is taking over my life too much. I struggle with it! Oh well.

Ya, there are some here I would love to meet, have lunch with and discuss politics. There are far too many here that are obviously nuts or just trolls trying to inflame the boards.

I would never post a real photos as an avatar. I wouldn't mind trading a photo with someone after getting to know them just so I could put a face to the posts.

I have never met another Yahoo user but I think it would be fun.

I only post pictures of my dogs as avatars. I think putting my own picture would give too much ammunition to the liberals. They seem to use name calling and avatar bashing as a way to debate an issue.

I can't speak for the women, although I tend to think they'd end up on the wrong end of a crazy stalker much more often than us men would.

I've had one wacko who wouldn't leave me alone on here, but I think with men it's different. I'm not really concerned about crazies trying to get in touch with me.

But it's always a good idea to limit the amount of personal information you have "out there" on the internet.

With 300 million people in the U.S., I don't think I could recognize anyone from their Avatar. I think most of us would be disappointed in meeting someone that was admired from their answers.

No one is perfect, anonymity just gives the opportunity to appear as such.

I recently posted a real picture of myself on my 360. Gottlos being the wicked smart genius that he/she is was able to dumb down the instruction about jpeg format, that I was able to fallow along. I don't think that there are as many stalking type maniacs on here as one might think. Being a stalking maniac take commitment and effort. The weird and strange on here wont leave the safety of their basements.

It's funny. I've recieved more stuff over here from my Yahoo buddies than my own family! HAHAHA

Sure, there are some crazies on here, but I wouldn't mind having a beer with most people on here.

Heck, at this point, I wouldn't mind just having a beer....
