You can draw money out at some cashpoints, but only in maximum transactions of P4000 or P5000 so multiple withdrawals, each incurring a charge from your card provider.
Equitable will do you cash over the counter from P20,000 - P200,000 in a single day. Take your passport and a photocopy of the photopage, also one other ID like Driving Licence, then fill in a form. The photocopy will be kept. Just ask the bank guard where to get and handover the forms.
Once all is done, and verified you wait your turn to see the cashier and get your money.
Warning there can be difficulty even changing P100 in the village store.

The currency is the Peso. The exchange rate varies daily but at present is around 95 pesos to the pound. My wife checks as she is a Filipina living in Scotland.
