Some of the theory or books say that the earth is moving closer and closer to the Sun. Thus, if this is true, few million years later, the earth is too close or near the sun and will dry up. Right now, scientists had found some planet that are suitable for living things, thus, by the time when the earth dried up and human is still not extinct. Technology might save a few of them by sending them to the other planets. However, looking at the situation of our earth, there is lesser percentage that the earth would dried up as global warming is increasing. Maybe by then, the earth would be flooded with water and when it is dried up, human will not be able to survive the big flood.

Humans cannot habitat Mars - not just because there is no water or the temperature variations are too great - but becasue of the atmosphereoc pressure. If a human stood on Mars, they would sizzle like meat on a barbie - wanna know why? the atmospheric pressure is too great for a human to survive. Places like one of Saturn's moons Titan, are too cold for liquid water to be found. Other candidates are too far away, and until we discover how to make our rockets travel a lot faster, we are stuck on earth and will probably die out

I don't know what the Bible says, but I do know that science says that in several billion years the sun will expand into a red giant, boiling off all the oceans and destroying every shred of life on the planet. But that's quite a long time from now...especially considering that human beings have only been around for a few MILLION years...I should hope that we'd be able to evacuate in time.

The earth won't dry up. At worst the sun will burn out leaving the earth too cold to sustain life. Technology won't be able to save anybody as the sun is the most abundant source of energy.

Well, with global warming, the earth will have more liquid water around and it won't dry up . Mars is totally uninhabitable. You'd better find a new bible. If the bible is correct as you assume, 12000 from the 12 tribes of Israel will be saved. The rest of us are screwed ... damn what a loving God you have.

Don't count us out yet. The rich people and the smart people are looking desperately for solutions now. It is in their own interest to do so. In the meantime we should all do our best to cut down greenhouse gasses and pollution. Forget the bible references! You have to read between the lines when you are reading the bible.

dude you have to understand mars is a habitable place all we got to do is set up and huge buble on the planet mars and make sure it has no air leaks then we could release air tanks inside the bubble then we could go in and place dirt along the groudn then we plant trees and have a huge fricking bucket of water and have a sprinkler to go off every day for 2 hours a day.
