This is a very common question, and almost every time the wrong answer is given (exception this time is LEEDSMIKEY).
Lucylu is now expecting between €569 and €586 for her £400. No way, at todays (27th April) TOURIST exchange rate of €1.399 to £1 she will get €559
The most common site given is xe.com which serves it's purpose for BUSINESS exchange rates.
Easiest way to exchange £terling for €uros is either at a Post Office (instant) or a bank (usually within 48hrs.)

Have a good trip wherever you are going, even though you are not quite so rich as what you thought.

Rates change constantly but if you are flying somewhere, check out travelex.co.uk You order on line and pick up at the airport
They are at the majority of airports and you can normally guarantee that there rates aren't beaten. £400.00 today would buy you 569.36 euros
