Yes. It isn't like they have any ideas, or conviction to lead them any where else.

What do you think the Republicans did?!!!
Hearings and more hearings during the last four years of the Clinton administration!!!!
Over 100 committee subpoenas by the Republicans.
By pursuing Clinton so vigorously the Republicans provided Osama bin Laden all the cover he needed while he was planning 9/11 !!!!
They distracted President Clinton and themselves while the 9/11 attack was in its final stages of preparation.
Osama must have thought it a godsend to have this convenient distraction of a scandal involving a Jewish whore sexually servicing a Christian president in the Oval Office.
Be objective for a change.
Count the number of hearings the Republicans had during the last four years of the Clinton administration.
The Democrats have a lot more hearings and subpoenas to go before they catch up to those undertaken by the Republicans during those four years.
And after the complete absence of any semblance of oversight for the past 6 years, the Democrats have a big backlog of hearings they need to undertake.
The shameless lack of oversight by this most recent Republican Congress has damaged this country deeply and the Republican Party is going to suffer some deep losses in this next election.

No. It is called OVERSIGHT. Long overdue since it was all but absent during the 6 years of Republican misrule.
This is just the beginning of much more to come.
Wait until Monica Goodling is compelled to testify.
You can say good by to Gonzo - even his OWN party wants to throw him under the bus. The House Oversight Committee is about to subpoena Rice to testify under oath
about the false enriched uranium claims too.
Looks like chickens are coming home to roost.

No, I think they view it more as an ugly chore that they are obligated to do as an equal branch of government with a duty to check and balance the power of other branches of government. They also find it to be their duty to follow the rule of law.
As to the "constant" nature of it, it takes longer to clean out the stables if the previous owner ignored all the crap that's been piling up over the previous six years and never did their job.
Sorry, but the days of ignoring illegal acts and abuses of power simply because of party affiliation are over.

Better that than not questioning anything and letting hidden ill-doings continue unchecked..That's what Bush (And Cheney, Rumsfeld, Rice, Wolfowitz, Clinton, Blair, Brown, Cameron, & many other 'politicians' [professional liars]) want more than anything- That's the unquestionable leadership of fascists for ya.

The Democrats are doing the job they were elected to do as the representatives of the people. The previous Congress was useless except to give taxpayers’ money to their favorite big corporations.

Not entirely. They've also passed several important bills including the minimum wage increase, and a tax reduction for small businesses. Even more importantly, Congress is about to okay the President's supplemental budget for the troops. The bill gives even more money to the military than Bush asked for, and it will merely require his signature.

Yes, it is.
That's how congress works whether it's republican or democrat controlled.
Anyone who answers otherwise is simply espousing a party agenda, or repeating whatever they heard Rush say yesterday.

I'm glad they are doing their job.
Apparently the republicans just let corruption go unchecked.
I don't know about you but I don't like a corrupt government.
