Hi everyone just a quick question..does anyone know if it's ok to use river sand in a tropical aquarium..tank consists of 2 clown loaches,common pleco,2 siamese algae eaters,and a feather fin catfish..

Yes, it will be fine but only with proper cleaning. Wash it very, very well in hot water getting all of the dirt and debris out of it and then allow it to dry completely for several days. Then wash and dry again. There is still the off chance you could be adding some algae spores to the tank so watch out for that.

I've used it in the past without problems. If you purchase it then all you need to do is give it several good rinses to get the worst of the dust out. If you plan on collecting it from the wild, well, I wouldn't, but make sure you do as mm says if you do.

Yes so long as it is washed properly.

I think you shouldn't use it because there might be parasites
