I believe morals are in need today and marriage is a basis for moral behavior.

Essential needs = food, clothes and somewhere to live.
But of course, only these things won´t bring any happiness... and I think that without love and affection any person would get ill and feel the most lousy human being on earth.
Marriage does not always bring love, sometimes it´s even the other way around. A bad relationship in your marriage, a forced marriage, a wife or spouse not caring and cheating on you, a violent partner... you see, in many cases life is better without being married....
Love, understanding, a full filling relationship and happy family life is what we expect from marriage in general. Do we achieve it? Sometimes yes, sometimes not...
What really is important due to my point of you is having the right partner on your side - no matter if married or not married, have a friendly and affective relationship with your family and friends you can count on...

No marriage is not at all need of today in life of any Human Being! Just imagine a life without a wife! To have new sex partner every day going in for so much unsafe sex every day, getting sexually transmitting diseases, HIV+ virus & ultimately dying with the most dreaded disease i.e. AIDS, what a fun isn’t it? Then in case making any one pregnant bringing an illegitimate child in the world whom every one will call 'LAWARIS' ah ha the great Hindi movie of the great Indian Actor. What’s the need for marriage after all it legally binds you & in case you are not able to cope with the spouse you have go in for all those trouble of divorce, maintenance, child custody, lawyers fees etc & without any such binding thing as marriage you live freely without any legal binding. If you happen to be a man then you are luckier without wife no botheration of dowry & cruelty & domestic violence which even include forced sex with wife as a form of domestic violence. Please say no to marriage just live free life gets infected soon & die peacefully.

It is a must for every adult to pass through normal human life free from many hardships every single person can not manage as everyone cannot be perfect & of extraordinarily good quality & efficiency & self control in everything (including sex related hazards) in all respects. Marriage gives a stable life , most reliable , all the time deep loving & fully dependable life partner for whole life with whom u can share everything in life with full respect. Life without marriage is meaningless after becoming adult for overwhelming majority of people. Most of the tensions, confusions & apprehensions about human life die out instantly after marriage. Life becomes fully stable, exhilerating, exciting, intersting with full of pleasures of all kinds throughout, undoubtedly.
Remember , every boy & every girl has been made for someone by God. Marriage is the best civilized way to have that legal partner. Get that & love him/her maximum. That is itself a great worship, duty, lifelong achievement & great satisfaction.
One has three choices. Get married & have a peaceful God fearing life of stable mind free from tension or live together with a girl without marriage(religiously illegal) or remain as a bachelor & face the hardships of life alone with no one to share anything , IF one CAN withstand , that is too not so bad. Decide yourself best option left.

YES to teach each one of us the lessons of togetherness, real love, compromise for loved once, to love with out expectations, respect for each other, to teach each one of us how a mother gives up each second and every penny for her kids and that is her only happiness, and why to learn these things? to be a better human being and to prevent this sole from turning into a selfish stone

Who knows. Marriage can be anything you want. It's up to the parties involved to set their limits and non-limits. But it is supposed to be till death does you part. Only thing, is that there are things worse than death. Humans are changing, we have a hot gene. Anything can happen. Be loose, be caring, good luck.

Of course it is. Marriage is suppose demonstrate total commitment. A lifelong commitment. It is suppose to bind you to each other. Nowadays people just want roommates. I pray you find the answers you are looking for.

I don't really understand your question. But if you mean "Does modern marriages need help", then I think yes. Many many marriages are in dire straits.
