Have you checked the rego - are you sure it's your car? Just asking because one day I could not figure out why my house key would not work. Eventually I noticed the number on the door - not my house. You seem to have asked this many times. I will answer once. The key has been badly cut, or the lock is damaged/worn. a "new" key in a 12 year old lock will always be problematical. Possibly even the serial number has been re-used for a more modern lock design.

Obviously, the key was cut incorrectly. Try going to a Toyota dealer and see if they can help you out better?
