How do I handle this if I find out he really has been lying? What if this IS the truth, but it is the only truth among many lies? This is just the only potential lie I can verify.

What happens if he was telling the truth? Would your husband trust you again if he finds out that you hired a Private Investigator?

Well...

You obviously have a need to know, other then putting your head in the sand, and pretending that nothing is wrong.

Its sad that your relationship has got to this point, I guess there has been a major break down in communication, or are you over paranoid?

How do you handle it? If something is wrong? Well, you just have to face the truth, plan how you want to handle it, and then move forward, with or without your partner!

Good luck!

no amount of worry and asking why is going to get you your answers any faster. But I will say that if he is innocent and you still distrust him then the problem may lie with you and not him. If there is no trust therei s no relationship. I am not friends with a person I can't trust so I could never be lovers with a person I didn't trust either.

We really can't answer that unless you tell us about the story he is telling you and which of the lies you have verified. You can somewhat tell if people are lying by the story, is it far fetched or believeable?

The what if's,could haves, should haves can break a person in two if you allow yourself to focus on the negitive. You hired a PI, well then you either have control issues or you have self issues.

Don't you think that if your marriage has reached the point where you have to hire a PI, it's pretty much over already?

You obviously want to dig up something since you are trying so hard, so you are looking for a way out.
