Faces of Death?

What are the goriest scenes from it? I've never seen it but, I heard it's pretty bad.

...if I had to pick a favorite ('favorite' is a rather ghoulish and perverse choice of words, but I'll explain momentarily) gory scene in the "Faces of Death" series, it would have to be the 'cult-sex-orgy-and cannibalism' scene, found in the first film.

Now, you may not be aware of this, but it was revealed several years ago, that 80% of all the footage seen in all four of the "Faces of Death" films WAS simulated; using varied make-up and special effects artists (hence the varied realism, from 'cheezy', to downright gruesome), many of the scenarios depicted were reinacted through actual eyewitness reports, rather than 'coincidental' situations, where someone just happens to have a film or video camera handy (in this day and age of camera and video phones, this type of thing would be more likely, but not back then).

So, my 'favorite' description is pretty much based upon the extraordinarily realism of the scene, and not the trail of drool out of the corner of my mouth, when I watch the scene (heh! heh! heh!).

Gorgon Video, who originally distributed the video tape series, has also released the films separately on DVD, as well as a special edition box set, containing not only the first four films in the series, but also a 'greatest hits' film, and a documentary entitled "Face of Death: Fact or Fiction", which reveals in a gruesomely comical and campy manner, that most of the footage in the "Faces of Death" series was, in fact, reinacted and simulated.

Now, if you want a 'shockumentary' video series, that's 100% USDA choice, pure adrenaline charged, metal-rock-enhanced, absolutely real footage, through and through, you cannot go wrong with the "Traces of "Death" series!!!

I cannot even begin to go into how shocking this series is; there are five films in the series, and each DVD progressively goes over-and-above and over-the-top beyond what each previous DVD in the series presents (i.e., "TOD 2" worse/stronger than "TOD 1", "3" worse/stronger than "2", etc). Trust me when I say, "Faces of Death" is watered-down Kool-Aid, and "Traces of Death" is 150% proof Tequila Shooters!!!

1,2, and3 are all pretty bad.i'd start with 2. ithinkthats theone wherethey take a blowtorch to a live pig and another clip where a dude shoots himselfin the mouth with a revolver.looked liked a .38 or a .357 when he pulled the trigger it looked liked his nose turned into a blood waterfall. i think its the same clip the song "hey man nice shot" is about by the band FILTER

The most awful part was where they bludgeoned the puppies and butchered them and cooked them. I've seen several of the movies as preparation for a job I had in law enforcement dealing with gory deaths.

My favorite scene is when the alien eats the 8 month old pregnant woman's babies (twins) after she dies in a shootout with Rambo.
