This is only a partial list. None of these taxes existed a hundred years ago. We, at that time, were the most prosperous nation on earth. It's obvious where the liberal welfare and tax and spend schemes have taken us. Look no farther than cut and run and the massive massive pork attached by Ms. Pelosi to protecting our soliders. Simple question here really: When is enough enough, and how can we get the liberal extremists to wake up?

I suppose even god loves a liberal for some reason, I just cant figure out why? Let's get it right people OK? John Edwards, pre flip flop, Hillary and other extremists VOTED FOR IRAQ, so its not Bushs war.
Next, the only thing Clinton did was to take unjustified credit for the Reagan tax cuts and welfare reform(after four successive vetoes) from the Contract With America. What we "got" from Clinton was an indicted and impeached president and white house character to an all time low. Character is not built through poltical correctness, polls and confiscatory taxes. The pelosi/reid regime, through cut and run should show you that. I think it was said along time ago best, those who dont lean from history are condemned to repeat it. Obvouisly the liberals here are vieing to be first in line. Yes, Im well aware taxes pay for things. The problem is. DO WE REALLY NEED GOVERNMENT INVOLVEMENT IN ALL THE THINGS THEY PAY FOR??? THE SOLUTION WAS SELF REALIANCE LONG AGO, WHY NOT NOW???

As long as government workers (from the janitor all the way up to the senator) continue to get paid FOR LIFE and with the best insurance our taxes will pay for, our burden will continue to grow.

Our children will have to pay and pay and pay. Forget the war and the deficit, the real spending occurs with government healthcare and pensions.

There is NO way for a company, or a government, to remain profitable and cut costs when they are paying 4 people to do one job. Someday, they will be paying 10 people to do that same job.

We are doomed because the average American does not realize how fiscally unworkable it is to offer lifetime pay and benefits to employees. DOOMED.

Hardly. The current administration gave away the store and drove the country into the deepest deficit in HISTORY -- worse than the combined deficits of ALL previous administrations COMBINED.

This moron cut taxes during WARTIME -- the first in history to pull that amazingly irresponsible stunt.

It will be left to whomever takes charge in 2008 to sort it all out. The current morons and their cronies will laugh all the way to their retirement funds, but THEY are the cause of the current situation.

Question: What's worse than a "Tax and Spend Democrat?"

Answer: A "Cut and Borrow Republican!"

At least with the Dems, you know where you stand when the bills are added up.

How are we going to pay for our current debt and war?

Clinton left the nation with a surplus.

Bush cut our income (taxes) and then boosted our spending - in that order - effectively living on the national credit card. Where the hell do you think that money is going to come from?

Any new taxes is only going to be to pay for your favorite guy's spending spree.

It's an old trick. Bush has taken everyone out for a night, lived it up, put it on his tab. You all think he's the greatest guy that ever lives. The next person along takes you out to the same restaurant, but has to tell you everyone has to pay up to cover last night's bill before you can party again. You're pissed at the next guy, but it was really Bush who ran up the bill to begin with and then walked out stiffing the country.

When are we going to get people to realize that these taxes serve a purpose... yeah it sucks, but who is going to pay the people that these taxes pay if we take them all away?
Who is going to pay the Police, Fire dept, Paramedics?
Who is going to pay to take care of the roads? Fix are ailing school system?
I could write a list longer than yours with were all this money goes. But I wont!
I do greatly agree that Bush and his Bushies need to get out of office and quit steeling are tax money though.
