We have picked a few nice girls names, our favourite being Lily, Elizabeth Morrison. However for boys we are totally stuck! I like Frazer, Harry, Jack, and Max. Me hates them all. We want traditional yet quite modern! And it has to go with Morrison!

The girl name you've chosen is beautiful.

For boys, how about Henry, Samuel, Thaddeus, Bradley, Calvin, Elliot, Nolan, Quinn, Quentin, Avery, Tobias

Well, Frazer is pretty bad. As for the others, you're aware that they're not traditionally names per se, right? They're usually nicknames. So why not go with the full name? Harry is generally short for Harold or Harrison. Jack is usually a nickname for John. And Max is short for Maxwell or Maximilian. Maxwell Morrison isn't too bad.

I love Lily Morrison. Lily is one of my favorite names. We had a boy but I couldn't sell my husband on Lily if it was a girl. I tried Layla too but he wouldn't go for it.

I love Jack and Max. They are two of my favorites. Harry and Frazer not so much my style.

Maybe you could both agree on:
- Quinn
- Nicholas
- Noah
- Caleb
- Lucas (Luke)
- Jacob
- Samuel (Sam)
- Logan
- Benjamin or Bennett (Ben)
- Drake
- Gavin
- Seth
- Cameron
- Evan
- Reid
- William (Wills)
- James
- Alexander (nickname Alex or Xan)
- Greyson or Grey
- Josiah
- Harper

Good Luck! SD

Would he go for Jackson with the nickname Jack?

My husband and I picked out baby names this way...

We each sat down with a notebook and made our own list of names we liked. Afterwards, we'd read them off one by one, and the other person would say yes, no, maybe. If it was a no, we'd cross it off, and we'd leave on yes's and maybes. As we did this several times, eventually we came up with a list combined from both of ours that were names that we at least semi- agreed on. The more we did this, the more we found a list of mutual liked names.

This worked alot better for us than just telling each other ... how about ... peter... or something like that. And we agreed in the beginning that we would not fight if the other vetoed a name because we both had to agree on our child's name.

Good luck and happy naming! And I love your girl names by the way!

I would think of 2 things before picking a boys name. 1. do you like names that can be shortened? from Matthew to Mat or Christopher to Chris? if not then pick a short name. Jack is the most popular name this year. 2. do you live in an area where his friends would be likely not to pronounce T's and H's? and would this bug you? ( I know this sounds snobbish, but I grew up working class and dont pronounce my t's and h's when I talk, except when saying someones name, I always trry to make the effort to say names correctly and I hate the sound of someone not pronouncing the T in my girlfriends name, Natalie.)

on that note...... I'd go with Eoin. (pronounced owen) its gaelic.
