find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
dont try to lose more than 1-2lbs a week - its not healthy to lose more.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried - no junk food.

Eat less and excercise more. Remember this old fable Breakfast like a King, Lunch like a Prince, Dinner like a Pauper.
Stop eating junk food. When you eat set out an small amount eat that and then wait about 30 minutes before you eat more and only as long as your hungry. Have lots of fruit to snack on.

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!

Hi from Spain!
Well, first at all, I´m going to give you some suggestions my nutritionist gave to me:
-Do no eat fat thins or sweet things after 5 p.m.
-Drink a lot of water.
-Do not eat sweet fruit like bananas, melon, etc, after 5 p.m.
-Drink at least 3 cups of green tea.
-Drink at least 3 cups of red tea.
-Bye to butter, pancakes, scones and similar things and hello to vegetables, fish, fruits, soya milk as possible or skimmed milk.
-Cereals at breakfast.
-Careful with margarines, sometimes they are worst than butter. Try olive oil.
-Exercise.
Good luck, my friend!
