GO LOCAL!!! Jackets, Chaps & Glove sizes run diffrent between brands & manufactures. You need to try them on to ensure a good fit. Make sure, when you go to the store, that you wear what you would normaly wear in the colder months. This way you're sure that your leathers will fit over your clothes in the winter. As tempting as it is to buy online for cheaper, don't skimp and get a good set. It's the only thing seperating you from the asphalt when you go down!

I would suggest buying local. A good jacket is only a good jacket if it's a perfect fit. I ended up getting a jacket and gloves from a brand called Leather Gear but I tried on a dozen jackets before I found one that fit everywhere.

For the best leathers, have them custom made.
US Made leather is good. (That's the name of the company.) They have stores in NH and MA. You didn't say where you live. They have a web site, but they don't sell over the internet.

depending where you live try J&S leathers, they stock a range of womens leathers and have various show rooms. my wife got hers from there.

If there are bike shows locally, with vendors, etc.---sometimes you can get really good deals there, that is where I got most of mine. Check at bike shops for event news or online.
