new deployments are 15 months now.
Before our soldiers would get $1000 for every month past one year they served.

Pentagon changed $1000 into 1 extra day vacation.

Thats less than what a nrmal person gets at their job.

Dont our troops ddeserve more.
If anythign they deserve extra vacation days and the $1000

Whos with me -- Call Your congressman -- tell them to do something baout it.
Ive already sent multiple emails and phone calls to the paper and to Nancy pelosi's office.

If anything our troops deserve more.
Lets support them!!!

You can also help out veterans by informing them of the benefits they are entitled to. For some reason a lot of veterans do not even know they are entitled to benefits. The link I provide may be able to help.

I absolutely support the troops, but as a veteran who served when there was a draft I fail to see how extensions for combat constitutes robbery.

I served in Vietnam and my tour was one year. I felt at the time that was too short to be productive.

I do think we are a little short-handed when it comes to combat forces.

I don't favor bribing troops and would have felt my service was cheapened had such been done when I was in Vietnam.

In World War II there were some duties--combat flying for example--where there were set tour lengths. Most soldiers and sailors served for the duration, however, and a 15 month deployment is heavenly by comparison to that.

I will gladly write my senators to support our combat troops. However I don't support what you are asking.
