Oh, Alfred Hitchcock is a classic!!! I haven't really seen many Hitchcock films. The ones I have seen are "Psycho" and "The Birds". Both were rather chilling. Check out what Wikipedia has to say about him. Did you know he had a phobia of eggs???

1) North by Northwest - grand, good plot, Grant at his best
2) Rear Window - claustrophobic, great Stewart and Kelly
3) Lifeboat - love those old WWII classics
4) Shadow of a Doubt - just a good, creepy time
5) The 39 Steps - pay attention or you'll miss something
Strangers On a Train, Saboteur, Foreign Correspondent, Psycho, Rope, To Catch a Thief and Vertigo were all great too

I like Marnie (i saw it when i was a little girl and had the hots for Sean Connery)
The Birds (because come on! it`s a classic)
Psycho (Anthony Perkins played a fantastic deranged character)
Rear Window (because we`re all nosy)
I also like the 1985 TV Series "Alfred Hitchcock Presents", I love scary short stories!

My all time favourite is "Rope", purely from a cinematography point of view.
The film takes place in one location and the cuts are designed so that it appears as one continuous take. Excellent and very clever.
Also love the story - the perfect murder!
Top notch.

REBECCA (it follows Daphne du Maurier's book perfectly).
THE BIRDS (scares the **** out of you!)
PSYCHO (enough said!)
NORTH BY NORTHWEST (great twists & intrigue)
REAR WINDOW (great film-noir!)
Two others, that SHOULD have been made by Hitchcock were CHARADE (with the classic line by Audrey Hepburn "I have so many friends already, that, unless one of them dies, we couldn't possibly be friends!") and the less-well-known horror flick HOMICIDAL, William Castle's homage to Hitchcock (I think it even outdoes PSYCHO for it's shocking ending).
