I don't mind it anywhere around the park, wouldn't like it on the jerseys though. It would make them look like the Bad New Bears. Can you see A-Rod strutting up to the plate with "Chico's Bail Bonds" where his name should be??

There has been advertising on uniforms, recently: when the Yankees and Devil Rays opened the 2004 season with two games in Japan, despite the D'Rays being designated the home team for both games, the Yankees also wore their home unis, on the basis that the Yankee white pinstriped uni was more iconic (it is) and therefore more marketable on the international stage. The two game series was sponsored by Ricoh, a camera manufacturer, and the Yankees wore Ricoh patches on their sleeves and helmets (not sure if the Rays did as well). Here's Jeter wearing a warm-up jersey* with the patch obvious: http://www.achievement.org/autodoc/photocredit/achievers/ber0-003

Seligula has given small consideration to allowing such things here at home but, so far, is holding the line. I don't agree with much that he does, but I agree with this. His successor (if he ever leaves office) might not be so traditional.

*Yes, the patches were on the game uniforms as well. Couldn't find a picture quickly, but I have seen them.

I don't really like all the advertising in the ballpark, but I'd much rather see it there than on the uniforms.

Some stadiums are doing that. It doesn't bother me. But on jerseys might.

Baseball is fading because of blackout. They needs to get rid of that.

I hope they will because they need the money. MLB is fading fast.
