Jesus asked His disciples, saying, “Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?”
His disciples answered, “Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”
Then Jesus said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”
Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
How would you of answered Him? Who do you say that Jesus is?

When Jesus was sent to earth to be born as man and live as man, he was called the Son of man because He was born to Virgin Mary as a man and live as man until he teaches with the spirit of God to him.He was even called as prophet as the Son of man.

After his death when he was nailed on the cross and was burried for three days , the spirit of God came to him, so he rose from the dead and brought to heaven as Son of God who sit at the right hand of God. So He is the Son of God or God the Son who is lower than God the Father.

We have 0 evidence that any of this was ever said. There are literally more than twenty versions of the gospels floating around. and none of them agree. Jesus is whatever St Paul made him to be. And this is the word of one man. A very capable man but only one. And he NEVER MET JESUS. He comes along after Jesus is dead and gone.

I would say the Son of God. If that is what he says he is that is what he is.

Simon and Peter are top prophets of God, 99% of people nowadays can't even compare to prophets with that close of a relationship with God. If they say this obviously God inspired them to understand that.

Who am I or others to tell someone of that closeness to God what to think. No one can be compared
