I'm assuming you want some to make youreslf at home. Well instead of going through the trouble of "inventing them", may I recommend the Ore-Ida's Fast Food French Fries. They are the same size and shape as typical Fast Food fries and they taste great. Just Fry, Deep Fry or bake them and enjoy.

You may have to go to a finer supermarket though to find these, because they are rather hard to find.

Potatos are cut into strips or whatever shape the establishment prefers then dropped into hot oil and fried. Once cooked to a golden brown they are removed and seasoned to taste.

Potatoes. They are usually purchased from a company that already has them sliced and packaged. So all the fast food place has to do it just throw them in the deep fryer.

really?...they just peel the potatoe, cut 'em into strips (usually a device where you put the whole peeled potatoe into a sleeve, pull down a lever and it presses it through a grating), and plop them in some boiling hot oil till they're fried. Viola!
if your Mcdonalds or the equivalent I think the store gets 'em frozen and pre-cut, then they dump 'em in boiling oil and Viola- a heart-clogger in 2 minutes!
