Aqueous iodide ion is oxidized to I2(s) by (Hg2)+2(aq) in an acidic solution. What is the E'cell and delta G?
Needed information: I2(s)+2electons-->2I-(aq) E'(V)=+.536
and Hg+2(aq)+2electrons-->Hg(l) E'(V)=+.854

I need this by morning because I have a test tomorrow- the answer to this is not E'cell is .318!!! Please show me work...thanks!!

Convert both to del G

Subtract del G s from each other.

Reconvert to E.
