Why do people think that black hair and white skin looks unnatural ?

I naturally have black hair, light skin and blue eyes and i always hear people saying that someone shouldn't dye their hair too dark because it will look unnatural with their light skin and make them look goth......well what if you are like that naturally!

How can something look unnatural if it occurs in nature?

Cause Hair Dyes can't replicate nature! Usually people who say the have "Natural Black Hair" actually have darkest brown hair. As someone else said Asians and other Ethnic Groups have true "Black" hair. Not always but I will have kids (Emo's) come into the shop wanting that blue/black hair thing and it never looks good. It looks so fake no matter your skin coloring, just because it is fake. Science has never been able to capture what God intended!

I dont know b/c I have naturally black hair with light blue eyes and really fair skin. Its not unnatural, its unique!

They think this way because with dark hair and white skin, they stand out as contrasting colors. It's like seeing a person with black skin and white hair. But you don't have to care what those people think. I personally think that having that naturally black hair with your skin is really beautiful.

whoever is telling you that the look is unnatural, then they haven't experienced much of the world. for asians, your description is very common, and in caucasians your look is more pure. brown hair and darker skin is usually associated with more mixing of genes.

trust me, you have classic colors, be proud. not as common, but that is a good thing, the goth thing, that's just an example of people trying to label what they see by appearance. sleeping beauty was ivory skin, black hair.

Being born with the natural coloring you do look great in it. The rest of us, who were not born with the natural coloring, do not look good in it, even when properly done. So you are special.
Also, the older we get, the harsher we look in dark hair colors. It seems to accentuate all our wrinkles, and our dry skin. Many older women think the dark hair makes them look like they did in their youth, and their minds are so set on that that we cannot convince them otherwise. For most of us, we need to go "blonder" as we age. It's amazing how beautiful it really makes us look.

i guess it mustnt be common for people with black hair to hav light skin.. unless your asian.. but that 2 tend to be associated with the goth or emo style as you mentioned and hence have received negative connotations. and also tehre are many things that look unnatural that occur naturally. take sum forms of aquatic life for example. sum of those fish or sharks look really unnatural, but all occur naturally. and to answer ur question as to why.. DNA, genes and all that.

Well, usually, people with black ahir would have a tanner skin tone because of the amount of pigment in their cells. The darker the color, the more pigment. So, logically, one would think that if you have a light skin tone, then you have have a lighter hair color.

I think that combination is very pretty because of the unexpected contrast. There are some very nice looking people with that exact same combination like Courteney Cox, John Stamos and Pierce Brosnan. Thank God for what he made you and stop listening to people.

I think natural black hair, fair skin and blue eyes....is a beautiful combination. You must be very attractive. Why bother about what others have to say!!!! Maybe they are just jealous that you have it all.

I am sure you look just fine - Now if you bleach your skin to make it lighter (ala Michael Jackson) then I could see the point in that, but who cares what other people think? I'm sure you're pretty on the inside, too. That's more important.
