i pierced my lip in october of 06 i've got a dentist appointment today will it be alright to leave the ring out for about 3ish hours?
or will it close up?

you should be fine seeing its been 3 more than 3 months. I did it for 2 weeks after having mine peirced for only 5 weeks and no problem.

It will probably close up. It's still fairly new, and oral piercings heal up quite quickly. Your dentist should be able to work around the jewelry, especially if you get a small stud to put in during the appointment.

depends, really...one nite while i was sleeping, the ball of my monroe came off & the jewelry fell out...several hours later, i woke up & tried to put my jewelry back in & the hole had already closed!!! it had been pierced for some time before that happened...facial piercings tend to close up very quickly...maybe u will be ok, tho...good luck!!!

3 hours should be ok. Unless you have a history of piercings healing up really quickly, you should be able to put it back in no problem.
