My b'day's coming next week and i'm going out on Saturday. I had to put a cream to give me some colour - L'oreal tun cream.
Today morning my whole fingers, some areas are absolutely black and I look awfully sick colour and ashamed to get out of the house. Please girls, do you have this experience and tell me what will happen to this colour until this coming Saturday. Today is Thursday and I put the cream last night - Wednesday. I look awful! my hands, fingers, parts of my body, they are messed up although i made sure to spread the cream evenly.

I'm sorry to say that self-tanning creams are mostly like this. You can find expensive tanning salons that know of better (and much more expensive) products. They spray them on you so they don't tan where you should be tan. It will take a week or so of daily showering with a loofah, and maybe a bit longer, to get it all off. Just tell your friends how much you wanted to impress them, because they are so important to you. They will be impressed and pleased you thought enough of them to do anything, even though it didn't work out. They will understand, and you will all learn a lesson. But no matter what, decide to have fun on your birthday, and don't take no for an answer.

Ugh yeah, tried that myself. Next time make sure you exfoliate and moisturerize your skin the day before applying the tan cream and wash your hands after application. Or you can use a cream with just a mild tint and then build up your tan gradually over some days/weeks, that way there'll be no nasty surprises.

I don't think your tan will come off before Saturday, but you can try soaking in the tub (if you have one) and scrubbing yourself. Perhaps try to use lemon juice on the worst parts? Or maybe ask at the pharmacy if they have something that could help you?

your cream is old...how long is your cream been in your purse or cabinet..your cream has caught dirt ..thats the reason why your face and hands are dark when you use cream on your hands or face use a powder puff over face and hands to seal and retard dirt and flying dirt that is real small...Iam a guy and a cosmetics major at a hair school..if you dont know what a powder puff is...use a soft pad thats hairy and put talcom powder in a dish and work up a dust then light tap on your face and hands
