YES at the moment they are,because they are no.1 in test cricket and no.1 in ODI plus they are the reining world cup champions for the past 2 world cups,SL have a chance to take the world cup off them but that still wont make them no.1 as the Aussie have been consistent for the past 8 years.

Is there still any confusion about it? Australia won their 28th world cup match in a row yesterday. But in final I think Sri Lanka will have a chance if Jayasuriya, Jayawardena, Vaas, Malinga and Murali all can click together. Otherwise this gonna be Aussies' 3rd cup in a row.
