Can see some of the statistics but can't find anything between 1994 and 2000. Basically the Clinton years. Its murky, China had 60 in dec 2000, 78 in 2001, 118 in 2002, 159 in 2003, and it goes on. -http://www.treas.gov/tic/mfhhis01.txt
Since the years are so close when it started, did Clinton or Bush authorize the sale of US Securities to China?

I guess a better question might be "How do U.S Treasury Securities work?"
Does anyone know? Does there need to be authorization or can any country just buy our Treasury Securities?

If ya think that's bad. Our electrical grid infilstructure's central computer is located in China, in case we are nuked or have a disaster.

The fact that China invested in the US is a good thing.

If foreign countries didn't want to invest in the US, the value of the dollar would drop considerably.

It was smoke and mirrors, and Bush used it to finance his plunder of the US Treasury and his adventure in Iraq. What does he care your children will end up cleaning toilets for the Chinese.
