My periods are pretty much regular and consistent. I got my period April 8th, and a couple days later i threw up a lot. I wasn't sure if it was food related or it was from my period, but I NEVER throw up and it was frightening to me.

I got my period again today. That means i'm 10 days early and I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that I don't throw up again. I'm really freaked out by this irregularity and I know 100% for sure I can't be pregnant (I'm not sexually active) so it can't be related to that.
What could be the cause of my body being all weird? Any ideas?

Human biology and health are so variable that there is no way of knowing from the information you provided whether there is something wrong with you, or not. Depending on your age, irregular menstruation may be expected, or be a sign of something out of order. Depending on many factors, nausea and vomiting may be due to either illness or internal imbalance.

During puberty, humans go through many changes, girls more so than boys. During periods of change, there is no "normal", because there is no steady state. After puberty is finished, a young woman establishes norms for her hormones, menstrual periods, body shape and weight, which should remain stable until the first pregnancy. Taking the "pill" simulates pregnancy, so going on it also causes the establishment of a new "normal."

So, if you are finished with puberty (age 16-18 or older) then you should have established a norm for yourself, departure from which is cause for alarm. If not, you can expect variation as part of the experience. If malaise recurs, around the same point in your cycle, go to your gynecologist and see whether there are any signs of any illness that could account for the irregularity.

Any number of things could cause the symptoms you described.

1. stress
2. any new medicines, especially antibiotics
3. a new workout
4. a change in diet
5. a UTI
6. abdominal injury or a bad fall
7. food poisoning

The list could go on, but here are some common reasons for your woes. If you continue to have problems, I'd definitely suggest a chat with your gyno.

The symptoms could be stress-related. I've experienced something similar myself when I was stressed out because I was going to an oral exam. This happened a few days before the exam, because I was frustrated and under a lot of pressure.

One word...Hormones!!! hormonal changes can cause a number of things to happen to our bodies..Just like when a woman gets pregnant and throws up..its from hormonal changes..I wouldn't worry about it and have a talk with your mother or older sister since you seem worried or if you can't get an answer here than ask ur doctor so he or she can put your mind at ease

If you are under any stress, it can wreck all sorts of havoc on your body.
I would say to see what happens over the next few days and if it doesn't change and you are really worried, chat to a Doctor.
Goodluck,

The throwing up probably has nothing to do with your period. You probably had a virus.

Stress could be the answer to your problem. If you are under any new stress that could be the reason.
