If it is against the Yahoo rules or not, i don`t know.

It is against common sense though. You can be traced by your number, and you can therefore get more than you bargained for.

Unless you use a cell phone which you discard after.

well i wud suggest not to do that because of 2 reason. many insane ppl will call u or may it is against the rule of yahoo answers too.

Wat i wud suggest is goto some chat room like yahoo, desimartini and give ur number there.
It will be better 4 u to give ur no in private and only if u think that other person is right.

take care

if you go to Google.com and put your phone number in the space..then the whole world can see your name and address and even a little map to show people your location..i just found out about Google reverse phone directory and i had my telephone blocked ..this is done at the same page..but it takes 48 hours for your number to be blocked..unless you have a number that is not listed...and Yes..this is a Yahoo violation..methinks

I don't know if that would be against the rules on yahoo, but I would say that it is not a smart thing to do!

Not only will weirdos possibly call you, but they can trace your phone number to your home and possibly harm you. Don't ever give any personal info out if you are unaware of who may have access to it.

You would be an idiot for posting your private information in a place where it can 3 retained forever.

thats not the smartest plan. there are some hurtful people in this world sadly enough. do us all a favor and stay off of the ever-growing list of statistics. you dig?

I think so, they don't want personal info posted. You really don't want to do that anyways, there are sick people out there.
