I'm jealous, and have never been on one. I wish you a great time and hope you just enjoy the heck out of it! You deserve it.

Don't worry about starving! Be sure to save some room after the midnight buffet for the desert buffet at about 1:00 am. You can get cruses for as little as $100 out of Miami or Ft Lauderdale. Getting there is a seperate expense. I would want to keep at least that much per day for spending $ especially if there are on-shore activities, but that is just me. There are 3-day "trips to nowhere" where you simply stay on-board, and they are around $50!!

You may not need "spending money" but remember there are duty free stores onboard so get your liquor cabinet filled up, or buy that rollex while you are out.

Excursions are more and can run $50 for a snorkeling excursion to $150 for an all day trip to Myan ruins, for example, depending on where you go, and don't forget spending cash. Most places cruises go take good old USA dollars, or the ship will exchange the money for a small fee.

Oh, did I mention ship-board entertainment? Like I said, budget about $100 per day for a top rate time, or if all you do is deck chair and pool (worth a lot all on its own) and going on the cheap, you won't miss out.

If you are on a tight budget, plan your excursions ahead, and take advantage of the tons of entertainment possibilities (many of them free) on board.

Only money we spent on the boat was in the bars, the gaming room, or the shopping mall, everything else was free.

On the days we went ashore we either hired a taxi to take us sightseeing or used the organised trips by the cruiseline - which you have to pay for. These would be listed in your brochure along with the cost.

have a great time!

yes i have....i just went on one for the second time over spring break!
i spent probably around $500 while on the cruise ship, plus souvenirs and activities off the ship. i highly recommend partaking in anything that sounds like fun while you're on the ship.....there are always activities and buffets at all hours of the day (bingo, dances, giveaways, and games of all sorts)! you should get some kind of itinerary everyday of what's going on around the boat, and there is usually a tv channel that also talks about the highlights.
usually, the pool and hot tub areas are ultra crowded, so i would avoid those unless you like fighting for a spot.....also, when you stop at a destination and get off the boat, be sure you get back in time before it leaves (they will leave without you!)....always take your passport and room key with you when you get off the ship too (they will ask for it everytime you get off or on the boat!)

most importantly....have a great time!!!!!

A cruise can be pretty expensive. They have all kinds of things to do while on the ship but you have to pay to do anything extra while in the different ports. The ship has different packages you can pick to do while in the ports if you choose to. They have bars,a casino, theater, spa, etc.but they're all extra.
I would love to go on another. I enjoyed the one I went on a lot and hope you enjoy yours.
The different sites are awesome.

It was almost 25 years ago for my honeymoon.
I remember spending money for drinks and the tours that were available.
Ohhh it was too long ago to remember the amount, better carry credit cards and call the credit card companies in advance to let them know that you will be travelling or they may freeae the account for possible fraud.
When I went there were 3 tours for each stop. The tourist one, the shopping one, and the get drunk on free pum punch and party one.

no. i don't think i would like being stranded on a vessel in the middle of the ocean with a bunch of strangers that don't care about you to depend upon. it would be too much homework to do...plus i would get sea sick.

no...i haven't been on a cruise...
