Michael Jordan getting rejected is what made him a better player. Kobe was born with talent. Michael Jordan worked his butt off all for his desire to win. He went from a player who doesn't make high school cuts, to a starter for the University of North Carolina (sucks) in 5 years. Do you think that coach that cut MJ thought that in 20 years he would be the best player in the history of NBA basketball?

kobe is better than MJ in terms of scorning . it is true that kobe is the most offensive player in today's NBA.but don't forget playing basketball is not about one ,the game is five.it is not enough to score high points ,a great player is supposed to make his teamates better and get his team a good result.yes ,no one could doubt Kobe's scoring ability. But when it comes to the determination and the leadership, which is as or more important as points,he is still far away from great.TO be a great player like MJ ,he still has a long way to go.

Of course I believe that. It's the reason he won the award. That's monster stats right there. Kobe's been a great player ever since. From the start till the finish. People, just deal with it :-)

High school stats don't mean a thing since MJ has 6 rings, 6 finals MVP awards and Kobe can barely make the playoffs. Oh and not to mention he's got NCAA hardware too, one of the biggest athletic companies, and plain and simple a **** load of money.

Tyson Chandler had reasonable high school stats 2. Are we going to praise him for it now like you're doing for poor ol' Kobe? He wanted a Shaq-less team and he got it.......so he's gotta deal with playing for a mediocre team til they prove otherwise.

Kinda worked out for MJ though. Jordan wouldn't have become the competitor he is if it wasn't for being shunned. Maybe if Kobe didn't have the royal treatment his whole life, Shaq would have stayed and the Lakers would have 6+ championships.

Kobe is the best offensive player in the NBA today.

Those stats don't shock me at all.
