This is what quite a few of us Americans have been trying to point out, but nobody is listening.

He's turned America into a dictatorship. Vowing to veto the will of the people so many times. And the fact that he doesn't have a fully planned strategy to get us out of Iraq makes him even less popular.

People have said Impeachment. I think it's too late, and that we should have done it years ago. But it's seriously gone too far.

BTW: Bush says he sees a "stable middle-eastern government" to come out of this war. Nothing for America, only from. What a President, I say!

he can veto, because that's the way it was set up. it was set up so the legislature has a hard time getting new laws passed. Most people don't like new laws.

What our "farce" of a governemnt is trying to achieve in iraq is to protect our way of life. It's about the oil. The middle east is a crucial part of our oil supply. It's also being taken over by fundamntalist governments like Iran and syria who have vowed to destroy the USA and it's allies. We have friendly governments over there, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qater, that sell us our oil. THEY MUST BE PROTECTED. That's why we are over there. If we leave Iraq, Iran will take it over ten minutes later. The Saudis and there allies will have to arm themselves, because they will be next. iran must be held at bay. Iran doesn't have to NUKE the Usa to destroy it. If they gain control over the oil, they will drive up the prices by cutting us off. Their president is also great pals with Hugo chavez, of venezeula, our second biggest supplier other than the middle east. Chavez hates America too. They will cut us off our oil suplly.
Why should you care? You are peobably thinking "$7 a gallon gasoline so what, i can afford it." WRONG. When you see an increase like that, EVERYTHING will be impacted. Think of it like this, a farmer plants his field, harvests it with what? a tractor. That takes oil. His crops go by truck to the mill. the processed grain goes to the dorito or bread factory by truck or train. the finished product to the store by truck. Diesel fuel. Without oil, we starve. Litterally. Pulling out of Iraq will set us up for economic collapse. Our economy DEPENDS on the free flow of oil at market value. That's the real reason we are there, the dirty little secret.

Jeramiah. As of right now Bush has not vetoed one bill. in six years, not one. this one will be the first ever. get your facts straight.

It's his veto power, as the Executive power of the US. Congress can over-ride his veto, but only with a 2/3 majority, and the Liberals do not have it. Our Congress is split nearly down the middle and we have 2 independents who seem to be siding with the President on the issue of the war in Iraq.

As far as what Bush and your "farce of a government" hope to achieve, I believe they are trying to keep radical Islam (and Iran and Syria) from gaining control of Iraq before it is stable.

All war from the beginning of time has been about plunder. The rich nations have been plundering the poor forever, and it is only recently that they have become very good at it. Britain and the US have been doing this for a long time, and Britannia ruled the waves long before we got successfully into the game. Now we are a formidable force together in grabbing what we can together. Iraq has been bribed and compelled to turn over future oil rights to the likes of Exxon and their friends. Quite a racket eh?

Everything in the war in Middle East has to do with money. Nobody cares about Democracy or if Saddam was cruel or if there are terrorists in fact Bush wants to have terrorism. Actually do you believe that if USA wants can not capture Bin Ladden, this is a joke.

Vetos defeat the purpose of democracy. In national inierests sometimes it may have to be used. But as far US pulling out is concerned US occupation of Iraq is to have control over oil resources.Oils not going to last for ever.US is keeping its oil resources intact. In the long term interests of US ,control over oil resources of Iraq and Iran will be beneficial.Otherwise Muslim world will have a upperhand after few years.Further Iraq interventions keeps US Arms manufacturuing industry in a boom.Politicians, ofcourse may be having a part of the cake AAMI gets..
