I like being married because I feel that a true friendship has been developed through difficult and sexual levels. To a degree I feel that my husband and I are one body and mind. When we disagree we compromise and reach a common goal. I never thought that I could enhance my spiritual and social being just by joinging forces with a nother person. Its like we have a body and a mind but we are a different entity.

Does anyone else feel this way, And what other human being or spiritual peaks are expected through marriage?

Marriage is a philosophy by many religions and organizations that allow a couple to be bonded to each other. In marriage it brings 2 (and in some cultures more than 2) people together, in order to be recognized and to join there lives.

Marriage is also recognized by many religions as the only legitimate way to continue humanity.

In my opinion being married and having found my mate, that not only is marriage a joining of 2 people but also a way for two people to be also separate in their thinking but to have the support of the other in what they think or do. A marriage of one mind is not a marriage as there must be conflict to build strength. If there is no change within the marriage the marriage becomes stale and the marriage fails.

This not a criticism but a knowledge I have gained and continue to gain over time. A marriage must evolve over time to stay strong and successful

Not at all. Marriage is quite a needy situation to be in. I challenge anyone who claims to be "one mind". This is physiologically impossible. Although, it does conform to religious and social ideals.

Marriage is a socially constructed relationship around a ridiculous notion of sex in our species.

Ironically, you are speaking with us and not your soulmate.
