The only thing I can claim to be in control of is my awareness. Only by being ever vigilant to the people and events around me can I hope to exert some influence over the outcome of my own story. By accepting the limitations of ones ability to significantly alter the course of events, you learn to instead influence things in such a way so as to achieve some form of long term satisfaction. Just as mass has inertia, so too does life. If you want to avoid a major collision, then sometimes a gentle nudge is best to achieve your desired goal.

I have to admit that since I am human, most things that happen to me are out of my control. What I do in response to them is all that is within my control.

I use to think my weight but apparently not.
Then I use to think my life then I realized Nope not that either. Then I realized I'm not even in control of my own brain sometimes... Nor my own mouth... So No I'm not in control of anything.. Not even of my own death...
