If I waited till it was dead empty, I would have to walk 5 miles to get some gas, and thats not my cup of tea, so I fill it before it gets to the 1/4 mark

I have waited until it was dead empty. Meaning, I've run out of gas as I was pulling onto the gas station lot. My teenaged son had to push my full-sized van to the pump. I've learned that the best time to fill up is in the early morning because your car is not hot and it fills up with more gas and less fumes.

Last summer my van was on empty
coming home from the mall I was planning on filling it up that evening because I wanted to go home and eat lunch. It ran out of gas about five minutes away from my house. So the police had to come and keep me safe from getting hit (it was on kind of a busy street on a weekday during lunchtime). My husband was able to come (with enough gas to get me to the nearest gas station) about an hour later but it was before AAA arrived. I fill up every Saturday.

I am the only one who has ran out of gas?! Well I guess like

I cant afford to fill it up more than half so that means im filling up every 2 days and its almost always dead empty!

I do, I shouldn't but I live across the street from a gas station so I usually wait till the gas light comes on

I usually wait till the gas light comes on. I have such a bad problem with procrastination. Not to mention, I suffer from this horrible disease called Broke-itus, I'm hoping to go into remmission soon, lol.

I fill up on Tuesday nights, whether it's near empty or not. Tuesday nights the best time to fill up in Melbourne and it's when my husbands work pays him!

no u shouldnt wait till its dead empty this will ruin your fuel pump dont ever let it get real low cause dirt from bottom of your tank will for sure ruin it!
