Although he was on the show when he promoted his movies Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2, and Seabiscuit, Tobey Maguire did insist that he will never ever again appear on Late Night with David Letterman.
I think the real reason why he won't appear on the show anymore is because of that so-called fiancee of his, Jennifer Meyer. I bet that's why he will not on David Letterman's show anymore; that pimp fiancee of his (Tobey Maguire).

Just watching tonight's show, Dave made the comment that he and "spiderman" have had a feud for the past 4 years and that he vowed to "never, ever, ever, ever" return to his show again. He then said that he "might" make it to next Tuesday's show. UGH,I have tickets next THURSDAY! But then he also mentioned next week they're featuring "impressions", bet he's up to something!!
