Well, in my culture (I'm Eastern Cherokee,) things that are considered manly are helping those who are in need, defending those who can't defend themselves and taking care of the family. There's also traditional stickball, archery and so forth. The unmanly characteristics are hypocrisy, cheating, lying, and outside of war or self defense, killing another person.
These things go for the women too, but the mother is the head of the family. We're more egalitarian than European and American culture is, and women went to war pretty often too.

lol, well, i'll give this a shot, but I was in the closet for 7 years, and nobody figured it out until I told them at 19. I was VERY straight acting, and was smart about it I think, so this is what I think about all that.
1. You've got to know guy code, and body language well.
Str8 guys look at that a lot when ur a teen.
2. Don't be TOO friendly with the girls, but learn to flirt with them in a way that's attractive, but comfortable...
3. Don't be full of Drama. I think that's the easiest way to figure out if someone is more feminant, they tend to biitch a lot. Most guys just don't give a rats a$$, and dont think into things as much.... that's why they tend to have less drama.
4. Don't talk about other people, or yourself too much, if not at all. If ur funny, you shouldn't act like ur hot shiit.... if your an ***-hole, u should walk around like u think ur cool or something.
5. Never look too sure of yourself of yourself, cause u shouldn't think ur better than any other guy... and don't smile too much, they don't like emotion that much if ur not 'cool with them.
6. Talk about guy things at first... if not always... like sports, or a guy t.v. show, or in some cases politics, classes... don't bring up movies or something like that, and try to not get TOO into the conversation for they don't ever like to dig deep into anything that requires thinking about it more.

Even though I feel like a girl, those pesky whiskers keep coming back!!! When they grow I feel heaver. When I shave them off I feel back to feeling lighter and more "feminine".
The extreme would be:
Unmanly: acres of lace and linens all around it a big fabulous dress. A big hat with feathers... just gliding along light and carefree. Able to express herself, while taking care of everyone around her. Shes fun and fabulous!
Manly; Heavy, mean, spitting, closed minded, dirty, sex minded, he can't express himself, has to force himself on every one, emotionally unavailable.
I'm not sure how "real" these ideas are... I'm sure there's a little of each of us that are manly and unmanly.
