what smell reminds you of your childhood?

The smell of dandelions. I picked tons of them for my mom when I was little. You are so right about smells trigger memories. I have another (lots, really). I can't stand the smell of the perfume "Taboo" because a boyfriend in high school gave me a bottle, and I grew to dislike him so much that even to this day when I smell that perfume, it makes me nauseous.

Before I lost my sense of smell, the smell of Potato Chip Hotdish always brings back childhood. Perhaps not the healthiest fare, but it sure was good!

hm im not sure about my childhood but i do miss the this only girl iv loved the most when theres a scent of davidoffs coolwater around, coz she always used to wear it before =(. its been almost 4 years but the scent still gets me all emotional. ah well guess everythin happens for a reason. *sigh*

the smell of a vinyl toy,and theres a scent in the air sometimes,that reminds me of visiting my grandparents house in Tex.

the smell of sausage and peppers always reminds me of spending summers on the boardwalk at the jersey shore...my dad used to eat them all the time....

eau de cologne
i remember how my granny used to bath me outside the house in a big basin and how she used to dry me and put eau de cologne after dressing me up.

Cigarette smoke, beer, new paper, some horrible perfumes that I don't know the name of, hairspray and whole lot of other crap that I can't think of right now!
