There's one just down the strip from MGM grand - i think it's right next door. You might want to try to find an Imax theatre that might be showing it.

I do the same thing when I'm in Vegas and a movie opens. The theater is behind Denny's on the strip, across the street from New York New York. If you go to an early or later afternoon sho, you probably won't need to purchase tickets in advance. I can't remember if it's an AMC theater or not.

Planet Hollywood hands down.... It is a beautiful hotel and casino. The casino isn't huge - like MGM - but really, who cares? It's a great casino and you can always go gamble everywhere else. Service is awesome!! It's a great location. All of the rooms of course are different movie themes....ours was "Judge Dredd". It was really neat. It had authentic movie memorabilia. The room we had included 2 queen beds and an awesome bathroom. Very spacious. We didn't have a view of the strip..but the view we had of the rest of the area was great. And yes..the free....yes FREE bottles of alcohol were awesome!!!! We liked Bacardi Rum...our friends got that, but also Skyy Vodka and some others. Totally worth it!! Great location, hotel and stay............they treated us like VIP from check in to check out.....we are going back there for sure. You won't be sorry!

The Orleans has a very nice 18 screen theater

The Orleans is 1 mile West of the MGM on Tropicana - The #201 CAT bus stops on Tropicana next to NY NY and then stops right in front of the Orleans. It's $2.50 for a 24 hour bus pass.
This is the closest movie theater to the MGM >Unless you want to include the IMAX at the Luxor<

Thier is one near the Mgm I saw a starwars phamtom show there its Close do a Mapquest on the MGM and look for movie theatres your sure to find it

This movie is being shown at the Palms in IMAX. I think it would be awesome to see it this way.
