It depends on what sort of reason you have for asking.
The biblical reasoning is that we now have "shame" in the world as a result of our getting booted from Eden, and so we must dash about with clothes to preserve our "modesty".
On the other hand, nudists seem to function quite well. Maybe they've found a secret?
Other reasons mentioned but worth repeating:
-Laws of the land: Most governments approve of covering for at least PARTS of the human form so they're not constantly distracted by their lust (which ironically is fuelled by nakedness being publicly illegal and the mystery of "What's underneath their clothes?")
-Because culture has conditioned us to believe that nakedness is either personal/immoral/disgusting/perverted
-Because it's warmer in clothes (in winter, anyway)
-Protects us from all-over papercuts or other annoying injury
-So we can judge other people on whether their clothes match better, or have a better/worse name on them than yours
-So that the fashion industry can make lots of lovely money
-Because there are only so many times one can photograph celebs naked: once you've seen it, you've seen it. It's much more fun stalking them when there's something DIFFERENT about them
-As a means of personal expression or public conformism (Is that even a word?)

To expend money for no good Reason
To be naked was made seen as less practical,or beautiful,even worst as shameful,so you are forced to wear a Lie,as necessary and chic.
Fashionists and taylors live from what women used to do everywhere by themselves freely and personally creative
No fabric or pelt,leather or gem,will ever be so beautiful,practical,and resistant as the human born skin,eyes or hair.But all else is hype.

They cover up your goody bits.
Other than that, people think that having clothing on makes things more hygenic (I suppose it's true).
Mostly, though, it's about keeping certain things covered up.

clothes are used primarily for modesty. It also protects our body from dirt and harmful element in the environment. they are also there to give ourselves protection from heat and cold

Hell, I wouldnt want people to be lookin at my goodies, my treats, or my snack packs! So I literally WORSHIP the person who made clothes!!!!!!

1) so ur not breaking the law, to run nude in the streets.
2) they get you into resturaunts.
3) warm you when it is cold outside
4) people will acually look at you
