Many companies do have software to monitor your activities. I used to work for GE, I made the mistake of booking a vacation on my lunch break. When I told my boss I was taking a week off at the end of the month, he already knew.

Yes, if your computer is being monitored, no one has to be in the office. It depends on what process the IT Department has and they do not reveal it to employees. An employee was terminated for coming to the office early and looking at non work related sites. It is not wise to take that chance,if you value your job.Once they find out and if they decide to terminate you, it will be too late to be sorry.

It's as easy as that and even though you can delete your history sometimes on private computers the action is locked
They might have a computer that can track everyones computer which is what i used to have at my old internship

I guess the best way to answer this question is to look at all of your hiring paperwork, there are papers that you signed that talks about communication with company equipment and that they have the right to record all communication.

If he went and looked for it. Dont give him a reason to think that you are, make sure your work is done. And say nice things about him, that always helps!

I'm sure there is a way for them to check if they wanted to. Ur best bet, is not to give them a reason to suspect u..ie: make sure ur work is up to par.

Maybe. Lots of employers use spy technology to keep an eye on their people.
