It was terrible. She looked devastated. She couldn't stop crying. I hate when they pull mean stuff like that. I love the show but they do deliver low blows every now and again. The girl is only 17 years old for goodness sake's. I don't think they needed to do all that, especially since it was a show about compassion and caring for others around the world.

I actually just searched for this exact question. I still (days later) feel horrible about it. Jordin seems like such a sweet kid. She has an incredible voice. She handled the thought that she was booted gallantly, but it was SOOOOOO unnecessary! It should have never been done! She probably cried all night! Shame on you American Idol! I think they really went too far.

the sad thing is, they had to do it to someone, which doesnt make it right and I think it was either Jordin or Melinda as neither of them had been in the bottom 3..
I wish they would have told Jordin and Chris they were safe at the same time, that would have made it easier on everyone.

Calm down. It's all a conspiracy to make you all feel bad for her and vote for her next week and so on so that she'll certainly be the next American Idol. I'm split between her,Melinda, and Blake. But I'm a Florida chick so I also vote for Phil.

I did feel bad for her. But the show is famous for its 'dramatic moments'.

I think it was very wrong. I knew something was up. I never could get through to vote for her.

It's all about the entertainment value. They don't give a crap about anyone's feelings. Yes, I thought it was mean.

lame as lame can be! It's like one of those bad cliff hangers that doesn't really make sense and is a total let down.
