No.. It is the end of your life on earth, but your spirit still lives on in another dimension.

No, not at all, life as we manifest it in this 'place' can seem cruel from time to time for all, and perpetually for some, but 'death', the great illusion is, actually the opposite of what most of us think.
Being 'born' here is the really tricky part, getting squeezed down into these monkey-suits is a frightful business. When we eventually decide to drop them we release back into the unlimited freedom of 'everywhere' and 'everytime'.
I sometimes think that we have reversed the general impressions intentionally to stop everyone from bumping themselves off every time they get a bit 'down', which would, of course, be a terrible error.

I suppose for some it could be; especially for those that do not perceive it as just another link in the cycle of life. The inner need for a secure Grounding/Home, and the perpetual desire for procreation, knowledge, and the sharing of life with loved ones are all but instinctive human traits by now; imprinted evolutionary directives that make us dread death. But if you consider that all biological life forms - such as humans - are subject to eventual decay and many times unbearable measures of physical pain and suffering, robbing them of their quality of life and their last bit of dignity, then death comes not as a cruel joke, but the most merciful gift that Nature can possibly offer us, at times. That is, without further complicating the picture (or enhancing it, depending on your point of view) by introducing certain objects of faith such as reincarnation, life after death, spiritual immortality, etc, into the equation.

A cruel death is cruel but a "normal" death is not cruel.
Dead is a reality.

To me, cruelty implies purpose. If there's no god, it's neutral, doesn't mean a thing and neither does anything else. If a higher power exists, then yes. Always.
A person's death hurts so many people and forever stops that person from contributing anything further to the world. Most of what they've learned is gone and we can never know if they live on somewhere else or if that person is simply annihilated.

That would depend on two factors: first, how much pain and suffering before you die, and secondly, just wha, if anything, awaits us after death. If your suffering isn't much and if there is an awesome and happy after life, then death isn't necessarily cruel.

no its just part of what life is..to have life there must be death..if there was no death our world would become so overpopulated that we would not be able to live long because there would be many diseases:
For ex: back in the 1850's+ when 2 or 3 families lived in one single house and they would..people would urinate outside and throw their feces on the dirt, therefore creating more disease.
hope this was helpful

Cruelty is generally used to define a person or their actions, therefore, I wouldn't consider death cruel.
Death is part of the cycle of life. Accepting death is also part of enjoying life. Living in fear of death makes life unliveable.

Cruel means that you intentionally inflict needless pain.
Death isn't cruel, though it can feel cruel to the bereaved.

We don't really know about death. Until we 'do it' we can only guess.
I almost died once and remember feeling kind of 'matter of fact' about it.
I think the fear of death can work on a person and that is undo cruelty to inflict on oneself.
