the french have a motto "c'est la vie!" it tells you all -- life itself. and we have no choice than to follow the rule. this being said-- your question including the words "reading, middle east, conflict, massive, headache" does not make sense. sorry. read what you want to read. believe what you want to believe -- it is a free world, this side of the Atlantic -- for sure not so in the middle east, except for the tiny Israel. If you think that the middle east has no interest in what is going on in America, you are sooo very wrong, They watch our news because it is informative, because our rights to freedom of speech, which they don't have a care about, all they know that is that the media have big mouths, All they need is a satellite and they access our news. The answer is no, I want to know where they are at all times.

YES! I mean come on people! Going up to someone and bombing there car or a bus or anything else is pointless. Why can't people just sit down and talk about there differences in a mature way. It would sure save us here in America a whole lot of headaches.

Well it is quite a challenge trying to understand all the currents of Islam and other religions, when I haven't really studied them before. Not to mention the cultural differences.
We've got to learn about this stuff, but we can't do it overnight. This conflict will be continuing and changing for years to come. You have to pace yourself.
