The best job in my opinion for a teenager still in high school, is a sports official of some sort. I was a baseball ump for Little League games while I was in high school and I got paid $12 a game. My younger brother is a freshman in college now, but he also umped and he recently got paid $20 bucks a game. Usually you only have to work about 5 or 6 hours a week and it's good pay.

in Canada you can work at McDonalds at 14.
I worked as a receptionist in a realtor company (small firm in my town) when I was 14 and going to school ..I worked 5-9pm.
At 16 I was a life guard,that was awsome*...
Call your local employment centre and ask what type of jobs are there for 14-16yrs of age* They'll be able to let you know what jobs for that age group are available.~ Best Wishes* and hang in there.......when you get to the older jobs 18+ it's just as hard to find a good job without the proper education and sometimes experience. You can do whatever you put your mind to* If you want to work..you'll find a job* BestWishes*

My opinon is that for teens to get jobs at 14 or 16 is just robbing them of their precious childhood. Getting a proper education is a full time job is it is done correctly. Securing a future is one of the most important jobs that will ever be bestowed upon you. And for the record there are alot of ways that you can "work", at home for instance.U can take the trash out, or wash dishes or etc. which ever you decide should be greatly appreciated. I don't know your living situation , but know this: All money is not good money and be careful as to how you make yours!!!!

babysitting, odd jobs, - mowing lawns, - in the wintertime shovelling snow, dog walking that kind of thing. Go to your local grocery store and post a "wanted" sign indicating that you're available for any odd jobs such as the ones listed above and any others you can think of. You have to show you are serious and enthusiastic. But in all honesty too - be wary about any return calls you get in answer to your posting because there ARE weirdos out there.

I agree that there should be more jobs available to young adults such as yourself. I think we need better work places too instead of only fast food places and underpaying grocers. I am not sure about where you live but my 17 year old sister works at Chic-fil-a and she enjoys it, has been there for over 2 years. They also have a scholarship program to help with college when needed! Good luck finding that perfect job!

Because teenagers can only work limited hours and don't have enough experience to work in jobs like Walmart and other places. Now if your 15 you can work in Taco Hell or a grocery store or McDonald's.

Babysitting, child care centers always look for summer help, summer camps need help. There are jobs if you goggle the Internet you can look for camps that need help. The Boy Scouts hire for dining room help and office help for summer camps too. It's not alot but it's a job for summer and it's a paycheck.

i think you should be atleast 16 before getting a job. no younger, because you are not mature enough and dont know how to handle everyday things yet.
