$1.00 per year, plus all his (or her) reasonable living expenses paid. (S)he must relinquish all personal net worth (including stocks, bonds, real estate, etc.) by turning such property over the the government. In exchange, the government will furnish the President with a modest life-long pension which will provide for his (or her) needs once (s)he leaves office. This same compensation formula must also apply to all other elected officials. Any politician found guilty of graft, corruption, accepting bribes, or enriching his or her personal or family fortunes is hanged publicly. Each elected official takes a vow of poverty to fully understand and "feel one's pain" of what it's like to live in abject poverty without the gluttonous lifestyles now afforded our greedy politicians. -RKO- 04/25/07
