There are probably better ways to write what you're trying to convey, but I re-wrote the sentence to include as much of your original sentence as possible.

I am not sure if you can convert the words 'commodity' and 'region' into verb forms 'commoditize' and 'regionalize', though the present tendency is to create such verbs out of nouns.
If I understand you right, you want to say that the gas market would be mainly confined to specific regions, including East Africa, despite LNG becoming a traded commodity.
