kerry says his information is that wtc building 7 was a controled demolishion (tho a controlled demolishion would have taken weeks to plan) and jiuliani rescently said that building 7 fell in stages, over time (when it clearly fell instantly- around 6 to 7 seconds). why have they said these strange things? and why now after all this time of a completly different story?

In the PBS special, the owner of the building stated that he and NYC firefighters made the decision to "pull the building." This is a term that means a controlled demolition. Considering that this building housed a command and control center that was abandoned before the second tower fell, and that the building was not extensively damaged, and that it was a steel framed building, the only way it could have come down was a controlled demolition. I don't think Kerry believe that 9/11 theories. WTC7 did collapse in stages. Because parts of it have been crumbling off, floors caving in, other structures falling apart all afternoon. That's why that pull people out of the building. And the final collapse is fairly instant of course. But there were lot happening leading to that final collapse. That's what is meant by collapsed in stages.
You have to realize building can stand for little while when its structures are falling apart. And once it hits that threshold, the rest of it will collapse instantly.
It's like how you cut down big tree. The tree falls instantly once it is cut, but how long does it take you to chip away with an axe?

Guliani was on the ground at the WTC, across the street from Bldg 7 was the emergency base station for the NYPD & FD. I think I would believe Rudy before Kerry.

If I got my story right, this bldg fell because part of one of the other towers sheared into this bldg taking out one section of it's support column. This was enough to cause the bldg to flip flop on it's self.
in time
1- struck by WTC Bldg parts.
2-coulmn damaged,
3 -structial sterss build and one section fails this causes a pancake effect.
